The son of a Presbyterian minister and a mathematics teacher, much of author Anthony Dozier's childhood was spent in the church, fueling his interest in religions and the historical backgrounds that govern them. In his new book, The Order of the Midnight Rose, Anthony takes you on a fast-paced trip through the Crusades that explores the origins of modern day religious conflict in a suspenseful story of forbidden love.

Born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, Anthony's interest in history and religion surfaced at an early age, and is evident in much of his written works. Dozier attended North Carolina State University, majoring in engineering and completing extensive coursework in physics. During a creative writing class, he created several short stories, one of which became his first book, Amenra of the Sands, though it would be three more years before the book was completed.

Amenra of the Sands and The Order of the Midnight Rose by Anthony DozierInspiration for Anthony's latest novel, The Order of the Midnight Rose, came to him from a variety of sources, including an interest in the origins of Middle Eastern conflict as they pertain to religion. "My goal is to take the reader on a trip that they have never been on before," he says. "Character development is intentionally unique. Each character is like nobody you have read about before."

The Order of the Midnight Rose takes place during the Crusades. Safeerah is a beautiful and deadly Persian Princess, as irresistibly seductive as she is skilled in the arts of espionage. When an ancient religious artifact is thrust into her safekeeping, she is forced to reexamine her assumptions of the Christian faith, forced to reconsider her oath to bring about the end of all who oppose Muslim interests. Adisa - the powerful and handsome young man for whom fate has brought from a painful life of servitude to a glorious existence as one of the most feared knights in Europe. From the hidden kingdoms of Africa to the golden palaces of the Mediterranean, Adisa will use his relentless will and his supreme leadership skills to unify the world’s religions as they have never been before - while entire nations will rise to stop him.

The book took three years to complete. "I did a lot of research for this book," Anthony explains. "I enjoy uncovering past events and showing a different aspect of them in my writing. The story is about the unification of Christian and Muslim relations."

Anthony has enjoyed several other noteworthy accomplishments at a young age, including working with several Fortune 500 companies as a Six Sigma professional. In 2002, he founded a software & literary publishing company, and he also serves as a lecturer on a variety of religious, historical & social topics. Anthony is married with an 11 year daughter and a 7 year old son.

Anthony is currently working on his third novel, his first set in contemporary times. He is also embarking on a college book tour through North and South Carolina.
