Paul Drew founded Charleson & Associates in 1987 as a consulting company, serving primarily the telecommunications, defense, and airline industries. Products included proposals, requests for proposals, technical manuals, business plans, and speech writing. He expanded the company's operations to book publishing and book selling in 2005. The company expects to attract and publish talented, unagented authors, particularly authors with an uplifting message. Charleson & Associates will act at all times in a professional, moral, ethical, and dignified manner.
Paul Drew is the founder and president of Charleson & Associates. His educational background evolved from a bachelor's degree in English to a masters degree in teaching English and then a doctorate in technical writing. He has taught a variety of subjects, but primarily English and writing, at the high school and university levels, including Monmouth University where he also served as Associate Director of Writing. In addition to academia, he has worked in the public and private sectors in a variety of capacities: contract negotiator, director of proposal operations, technical writer, and training manager. Drew served as a combat infantry squad leader in Vietnam, 1966-67, with the 196th Light Infantry Brigade. He is a Benedictine Oblate, affiliated with Newark Abbey, Newark, New Jersey and a former state chaplain for the American Legion, Department of New Jersey. In addition to numerous journal and newspaper articles, he has authored three books: After the Storm: A Vietnam Veteran's Reflections (a memoir); Jenny 4 (a novel); and I Saw Jesus Today (a book of inspirational stories).
