Summary
“A True Fable” describes this inspirational
story perfectly - a fable about a real person. It is the struggle for
success that every person with vision has had to face, and how a Cy
Young-winning baseball pitcher overcame those obstacles - both in the New
York Yankee’s golden fifties and through to his own golden years. Here are
the lessons of a man who took sportsmanship and fair play into business,
and who turned ethics into gold. This simple tale should clear the clutter
for anyone with ambition to help make his or her dreams a reality, and to
do so with honor and pride.
Author's Bio
John
Danenbarger graduated in creative writing at the University of Kansas (in
Lawrence) in 1964. He worked extensively in Europe for 3M Company and
Xerox before returning to the United States, where he became
Vice-President Investments for A.G. Edwards and Sons. At age 51 he bought
an ocean-going sailboat, got his Masters license, and sailed the Eastern
Seaboard and the “blue water” to Bermuda - twice. He and his wife Margaret
own a home in Italy. He is one of those rare birds who, being successful
in real businesses, did not need to write a motivational book to prove
anything to anyone. But his experience and positive mind-set allowed him
to recognize the universal lessons in Bob Turley’s business practices, and
compelled him to pass those lessons on. The result is “The Eagle and the
Crow, A True Fable”
