Imagine, invent, model, carve, or simply play with a level of expressive freedom never quite possible in traditional clay.  Just mix your favorite high or low fire earthenware, terra cotta, raku, stonewares, porcelain with recycled paper.  Ultra versatile affordable P'Clays increase pleasure and satisfaction.  Use with or without a kiln!

From beginner to expert, get your practical questions answered now.  New section for classroom teachers, children, K-12, special needs, elders and more.

Tile or architecture scale projects in high fire stoneware and porcelain forming and casting methods are new to this edition, too.

author's bio

Rosette Gault was born in New York City.  She earned her M.F.A in Ceramics in 1978 at the University of Puget Sound and her B.A. in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1975.  She has been practicing studio ceramic arts ever since.  Research for this work has been supported in part over the years by Canada's Banff Centre for the Arts.  A series of studio residency work periods since 1990 allowed work periods of intense focus without distraction on this long term project.  List in "Who's Who In America," holder of a U.S. Patent, she is also author of a second book Paper Clay in addition to this one.  Her award winning ceramic work has been shown widely since 1978.  She lived and taught part time in Seattle for many years.
