About the Author

Born in Sacramento, California only 82 years ago, leading sales guru Bob Brown’s career has humble beginnings, selling magazines door to door when he was eight years old. He graduated from Sacramento City College, served his country overseas, and began working for Mutual of New York back in 1948. Not a born salesman, as it might seem, Bob studied hard and succeeded in his quest to become one of the company’s “top 50” sales professionals. In his fifty-two years with MONY, he topped that list once. He qualified for MONY’s promotion in TIME magazine for leading producers. He was frequently among the very elite “Top 25” in the entire company. Acknowledged as a master of the sales process and one of the most successful sales professionals in the business, his talks are filled with tales and techniques from an amazing career that includes the record of 46 consecutive years as a very distinguished member of the Million Dollar Round Table, with lifetime sales exceeding a half billion dollars.

A self-made millionaire, Bob insists he is just getting warmed up. As a respected presenter, Bob travels the world to speak at conventions and business meetings.

In addition to countless sales awards, Bob was awarded a "Distinguished Service Award" for his many community contributions to the city of Sacramento. He has chaired the Miss California Pageant, U.S.O., Red Cross, Cub Scouts, Salvation Army, Infantile Paralysis Ball, the Underpriviledged Childrens' Summer Camp program, and is a trustee of the Boy Scouts of America.

When not traveling to a speaking engagement or selling financial programs, he can be found in Sacramento with his family; Norma, his wife of 60 years, four sons, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
