About the Book          UNARMED COMBAT is a combatives manual for military and law enforcement personnel and all interested grapplers.  This book addresses the full spectrum of unarmed combat from standing joint locks, to takedowns, to ground submissions.          Weapon disarming and weapon retention techniques, sentry removals, as well as prisoner control, searching and holding techniques make this book specifically tailored to military and law enforcement operations.          UNARMED COMBAT is, at its core, a ground fighting and joint lock submission system based on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

 

Author Bio    The author, Steven S. Iverson, was initially exposed to the martial arts by studying Tae Kwon Do with some exposure to Kung Fu.  He then studied American style boxing and Judo while attending college.  Several years ago, the author began formal instruction in Jiu-Jitsu and has continued to study this sport to the present day.  He has competed in organized Judo, Sambo, and Jiu-Jitsu tournaments.
