Breakthrough book uses pilot training to help teenage
drivers avoid the 13 most deadly driving mistakes.

How parents can teach their young drivers to detect and avoid the 13 most common vulnerabilities killing teenage drivers.

Parents of teenage drivers:

Can you name the 13 most common vulnerabilities that will catch your teenage driver or teenage passenger off guard and force them into making a split-second life or death decision?

Saving Our Teen Drivers is written by a commercial pilot with over 25 years of flying experience and details how professional aviation training on accident avoidance and the decision making process can help younger drivers detect and avoid the 13 most common causes of teenage driving deaths.

80 percent to 90 percent of teenage driving deaths are attributed to driver decision error. For years, several aviation organizations have dedicated millions of dollars to better educate pilots in reducing pilot decision error. This critical knowledge is transferable to drivers of all ages - and is especially vital to younger and inexperienced drivers.

Saving Our Teen Drivers is written to empower parents in educating their children, from a pilot's point of view, on how to reduce their odds of having an accident. Any driver between 15 to 19 years old will directly benefit from this knowledge and experience.

About the Author

John H. LoughryJohn Loughry has been flying for over 25 years and currently holds a commercial pilot license. He is a graduate of Kent State University and the Keller Graduate School of Management. In his spare time he speaks about aviation history, weather fundamentals, and the space race that led America to landing on the moon.

During college, John worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for a rescue squad and experienced first-hand how reckless and careless driving killed innocent victims and permanently changed the lives of their families. As a pilot, he sensed that if these drivers had just a few of the decision and crisis management skills that pilots use everyday, many of these accidents could have been avoided.

With three up and coming teenaged drivers of his own, he was unable to find any information that would directly educate his children on how to drive with the accuracy, awareness and focus of a pilot. After continuously hearing news reports about younger drivers dying by repeatedly encountering the same situations, he decided to repackage his pilot knowledge for drivers and wrote the material himself.
