Author E. F. DupuyAbout the Author

In the early 1970's, after being employed as department manager of three different hospitals, Mr. Dupuy decided that working for someone else was not the way to go. In 1976 Mr. Dupuy learned about a new business called Cable Television. Banks would not lend to companies trying to develop the industry because, in the infinite wisdom of bankers "there is no way you can sell cable television to people that can get television for free". Of course history proved the bankers wrong. Mr. Dupuy persevered and eventually found a Wall Street lender to fund his dream of building a cable company. As it turned out, finding the money was the easy part—then came building the system. From climbing poles and laying cable during the day, to making sales pitches to potential subscribers at night, building the system was an endeavor. After selling the cable company in 1980, Mr. Dupuy began offering his money raising capabilities and contacts to others for a fee and thereby becoming a Broker. Mr. Dupuy has secured financing for cable television companies, cellular telephone companies, power plants, Texas oil producers, auto finance companies, insurance premium finance companies, office buildings, warehouses, car washes, dry cleaners, restaurants, doctor's offices, construction projects, condo conversion projects etc. His investor and lender contacts are vast, ranging from Life Insurance Companies, Real Estate Investment Trusts, banks, hard moneylenders, small business lenders and major Wall Street Conduits. After 25 years of serving as an intermediary for the benefit of corporate borrowers, Mr. Dupuy shares his experience and knowledge with you in this book.
