LaurelAnn is an authority on traditional Caribbean cooking and had just self-published a book entitled CARIBBEAN RECIPES "Old & New". In it she tells of one of the most famous residents of Barbados, the late actress Claudette Colbert, for whom LaurelAnn often made desserts.

" After the party , I tried quizzing her driver as to who had attended but, in typical Bajan fashion, he just smiled when I mentioned some names and nodded when I mentioned others.
