Summary

Did you know you may be poisoning your pet, unknowingly a little each day? I didn’t and Lizzy passed away when only 9 years old. She and over 14,000 pets in 2007 have been killed from food related kidney failure. 25 years ago it was the carcinogenic preservatives that killed Lizzy, in 2006 it was Alfa toxin poisoning in corn, in 2007 it is wheat gluten spiked with the lethal chemical Melamine.   None of these products belong in a carnivore’s diet!

Pet Food contamination has been a problem as long as I can remember. Many Pet Food companies refuse to improve their formulas as long as the public will purchase their products and believe their deceptive and misleading advertising.  These companies purchase the cheapest products they can find, worldwide, for our pets. They know the inspection process is a joke, both abroad and in this country.

In April of 2007 at the first Senate hearing on Melamine poisoning, the FDA admitted that they inspect only 1.5% of the agricultural products from China and only 6% of those inspected pass. The other 98.5 % is on our tables and in our pets’ food.

Senator Durbin commented at the Senate hearing that this was the same old broken food inspection problem.

Please join me! Together we can force this 40 billion dollar industry that produces our animals’ food to market more nutritious and safer products for our pets. These companies must become aware of our demands. Please continue to write letters and make phone calls to them and demand better pet food formulas. Most have toll free numbers and websites with contact information.

Don’t wait until you pet dies; their lives are short enough as is. Get involved today, and don’t accept any explanations or excuses. Oversight by the pubic is essential or nothing will really change. The FDA will merely institute a new regulation that will be impossible to enforce to patronize the public. The remedies for problems so far have been incomplete and irresponsible. Our animals are totally dependent on us. Let’s be proactive and do our part. Together we can build a better world for our beloved animals, important members of our families.

A game of chance or maybe hype
This thing we all refer to as life

The future may be grim or it can be bright
Our animals depend on us to choose what is right

Their life you know is shorter than ours
Our time with them can be counted in hours

There’s a lot to be done by you and me
To make sure their time here is the best it can be

A place in heaven is reserved for them I know
Just as the wind will always blow

This circle of life in which we all live
It’s our choice to never take more than we give

Help the abandoned & homeless animals free

Please assist  me in helping the abandoned and homeless animals of this country. By clicking on the following link you will feed several homeless pets absolutely free just for going to the site.
The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need providing food for some of the 27 million unwanted animals given to shelters in the U.S. every year. Over 10 million animals are put to death every year in the U.S. alone because they are abandoned and unwanted.

Each click on the purple "Fund Food for Animals" button at The Animal Rescue Site provides food and care for a rescued animal living in a shelter or sanctuary. Funding for food and care is paid by site sponsors and distributed to animals in need at the Fund for Animals' renowned animal sanctuaries (including Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Texas and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in California), pet shelters supported by the Petfinder Foundation, North Shore Animal League, and other worthy animal care facilities supported by the GreaterGood.org foundation.
