Summary
Welcome to Water Voices, a new book and voice for the water and life gracing our planet's biosphere. A water voice that flows through all kingdoms of life, as well as our human realms of science; philosophy; politics; history; art; economics; religion; society; music, and culture.
Three years in the making, Water Voices is a tabletop (13 inches H x 10 inches W) hardcover book containing 230 pages and 400 color photographs - many with informative captions. Each of the seventy-seven (77) authors in this book brings us unique water knowledge. Certainly, there is wisdom in our paying attention to the guidance and inspiration proffered by these profound people from every walk of life, including several recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize and Stockholm Water Prize. Information about each author can be found in the book's 'Biographies' section.
Water Voices is published in consideration and support of the United Nation's effort for the international "Decade of Action 'Water for Life', 2005-2015." This decade-long UN water effort was initiated by the Republic of Tajikistan, and supported by 148 UN member states. We are thankful to Tajikistan President Emomali Rakhomonov's initiative and contribution to this important United Nations' water effort.
Water Voices gives us a visual journey into the esoteric and mystical worlds of water, while the letters and articles present guidance, new insights, and unique research about this universally rare and precious entity.
