Summary

Airport Mouse is left behind in the old airport terminal after construction of a new terminal. Airport Mouse finds himself all alone, confused, and frightened. To his surprise, he is suddenly scooped up. He peers into a very big eye of the scoop which turns out to be Mr. Michelson the supervisor of airport maintenance. Mr. Michelson "saves" Airport Mouse and puts him into the big M pocket of his work suit. Mr. Michelson names Airport Mouse "Manny My Main Man" and they become Mick and Manny of Maintenance. Airport Mouse accompanies Mr. Michelson as he follows his work orders for he night shift. Together they explore the Ticketing area, Baggage Claim area, Boarding Gates and finally the Food Court. Airport Mouse is introduced to the escalator, moving sidewalk, and baggage claim carousel. Airport Mouse especially enjoys the Food Court where food has been prepared as the many food services do a trial run before opening day. Trays of food have been left for the maintenance crew to taste test during the night shift. After a full night's work,Mr. Michelson prepares to go home for the day. Mr. Michelson tells Airport Mouse that he will need to leave him sleep "over-day." Mr. Michelson tells Airport Mouse that he will be taking a a day off, saying, "You will be OK, not to worry." Airport Mouse prepares to go to sleep in a VERY SPECIAL PLACE. He remembers all of the excitement of his first night shift as a Partner in Maintenance. With a big yawn, Airport Mouse says, "Good Night or Good Day," to himself and to anyone. The story of Airport Mouse is an adventure of values and the meaning of friendship.
