Summary
Outside Today is a beautifully illustrated children's picture book showing fun things that kids can do outside during each of the seasons. Included with the book is a musical CD with a rockin' rendition of the children's song by the same name, performed by the author. The text in the book and the lyrics to the song are identical. By learning the lyrics to the song on the enclosed CD and following along in the book, the early reader improves his or her reading skills while having fun!
About the Author
Sharon Allen is a singer and songwriter living in Central New York. She performs children's music and musical stories at libraries, schools, child care centers and special events throughout the area. She performs with her musical partner Donna Butterfield as "Milk & Cookies", and has released a CD of their original songs entitled "Boo Boo Blues". On weekends, you may also catch Sharon on stage belting out the blues! Marsha Zavez is a teacher at North Hampton School in North Hampton, New Hampshire where she teaches visual arts and drama in grades k-8. She is also a working oil and acrylic painter who exhibits her work at art shows and galleries throughout New England.
