About the Author
Blane Covert teaches Honors American Literature and Advanced Writing at Pulaski Academy, a college preparatory school in Little Rock, Arkansas. His teaching awards include the 2001-2002 Meyer Endowed Chair for Teaching Excellence, the 2002 St. Vincent College Excellence in Teaching Award, the Pulaski Academy Class of 2003 Favorite Teacher Award, and selections to Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. In April 2007, Covert received the Stephens Award, an honor presented by the City Education Trust of Little Rock to recognize excellence in classroom teaching. Covert holds both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Harding University; he also has an educational specialist's degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
