Summary
What does God say in the Bible that He did when He created the heavens and the earth? It was my first year teaching biology and Genesis in a Christian high school. I realized did not know how to reconcile the two. I knew the gap theory, but a first creation of life then its destruction is not in the Bible. Then I heard young earth creationist Henry Morris lecture on creation and the flood. His insightful theory was almost right, but one key claim did not match the Bible. Later, I heard astrophysicist Hugh Ross lecture on old earth creationism. But one of his claims did not match the Hebrew of Genesis 1 that I was studying under John Sailhamer, the originator of the historical land creationism theory. And one of Sailhamer’s claims did not fit the Bible well either. I decided to study in Hebrew and Greek the over one hundred Bible creation texts. A two-stage creation began to emerge. In this book, I record my search and study of key science concept about the universe, and then the claims of ten major creation theories. I identify their most Biblical insights, and join these insights into a consistent creation theory. These major theories are

About the Author
Thomas Patrick Arnold, Ph.D., enjoys the Bible and the creation. He has studied Bible and biology at Columbia Bible College, Wheaton College, COD, UNC, and NIU. He taught science and Bible. Tom founded a small company and completed an M.R.E. at Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary, an M.A. and Th.M at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Ph.D. at Universiteit van die Vrystaat. His dissertation was A Theological Evaluation of Ten Major Creation Theories. He published articles “Sharing the Gospel across Language Barriers Using Multilingual Bible Software,” “How Can We with Confidence Adequately Understand God’s Word? and “Tailoring Apologetics to Evangelize.” He has read papers on creation at the Evangelical Theological Society. He is an ordained pastor. He and his wife do archeological work in Tiberius, Israel, under Hebrew University. They have published photography from Israel. He speaks on God as Creator, the foundation of Biblical theology, evangelism, and worldview.
