Summary

Evan Brain! marks the debut of 15-year old Evan Doyle - cartoonist, illustrator and co-author of this original work cataloging Evan's hilarious antics. Eve Becker-Doyle, co-author and Evan's longsuffering mother, offers her accounts of family members, kindergarten mayhem and Evan's fascination with comics and Calvin. Accompanying these true stories are Evan's actual apologies notes, letters to his parents and homework assignments. Following each chapter are Evan's fantasy renderings of people or incidents: "Besides his parents, Evan observed two other freakish alien beings lived in his house. One was a boy, obviously a Zargaxian Gortak from a distant galaxy...this gruesome creature was Evan's brother...there was a girl as well. She, too, was an imposter, a Tentacle-eyed Bloodworm...A hideous creature indeed." Kindergarten becomes jail and his teacher, Ms. M, the evil hag Torblax Mugtulla. About the Authors

In her day job, Eve Becker-Doyle is the CEO of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. With an endless supply of Evan material, she foresees many more Evan Brain books, and has developed a line of irreverent Evan Brain greeting and holiday cards.

Evan Brian Doyle is enrolled in the Dallas Public Schools. He graduated from Travis Talented and Gifted Magnet Middle School and now maintains an undistinguished academic career at the Science and Engineering Magnet High School. His interests are computers, comics and sleeping. He does not care for writing books; his mother makes him.
