Summary
Sometimes with life and love the hardest part is admitting that it’s over. Even harder is the actual break up. And for some, harder still is the leaving. All of these things rang true for Betty Jean Carlson. But finally, she left her man of six years, left her home and everything she knew and headed to the bright sunshine of California. Problem is, after all she’d been through over the years she was down for the count. Her good friend, Sheila Cooper, isn’t ready to give up on her and urges Betty Jean to get back up. Down doesn’t necessarily mean out. She survived the hard part now she just needs to learn to live again. That can't be too hard ... right? Sometimes leaving is the easy part. It's the getting up and getting on with life that's difficult.
About the Author
MBridges has finally succumbed to the voices! The author grew up on the Southern end of California, moving with her parents and siblings to Texas in her early teen years. She attended the University of Houston-Downtown for several years where she attempted to become the first student to ever receive tenure; unfortunately the quest was denied, but she still has hope. Her disciplines include English, Speech Communications and Technical Writing. She writes anything from poetry, to short stories, fiction to non-fiction and has a desire to see all fifty plus of her stories completed and on book shelves one day. Needless to say she is ecstatic about the release of her second novel in 2008. Though she left the Pacific coast years ago, her heart remains there, but hopes to see exotic beaches and distant shores, which beckon almost as incessantly as the stories and characters in her head.
