Favorite Knots for the Sports Enthusiast
David & Cheryl Young
Price: $19.95
ISBN: 978-0-9776703-4-5
Dave has been an avid fisherman and outdoorsman since 1950. Ever since 1950
Ever since he was a boy scout he has loved tying knots. Dave's love for fishing has
taught him the importance of good knots. Back in the late 1950's ultra light spin
fishing became popular. With it brought 2# test monofilament lines. The nylon
lines back then were not nearly as good as they are today. This means your knots
had to be well tied to land fish. I caught an 8 pound brown trout on my UL glass
spin rod and Cargen Mignon reel. This great fish swam under a culvert and I had to
break my line and to re-tie downstream. It was the largest trout I have ever encountered in Utah's Jordan River. My knot tying ability allowed me to land this prize. I
have fished and camped for the last 50 plus years. Knot tying is still the critical link between you and your fish, your possessions or your life. Learn how to tie the
correct knot for the job you are asking it to do. With this book I have researched a
multitude of successful knots. They are clearly presented in step by step photos
that are easy to tie. You will be pleasantly surprised at how well these knots
perform. Every knot is illustrated step by step by color photos.

Fly Tying: an Enjoyable Hobby
David & Cheryl Young
Price: $24.95
ISBN: 978-0-9776703-5-2
David first started tying flies in 1955. My information
came from a book published by the old retailer
Herters. I bought my materials from them and I
recall receiving loose hackle packaged in a brown
paper lunch bag. It took me longer to find the right
hackle than to tie a fly. I was hooked on tying when
I caught an 8 pound rainbow on my very first fly. It
was a Mickey fin tied with feathers instead of hair.
I have been an avid tier ever since. This hobby
guided me to a career as a dentist. I love creating
things with my hands. Now I relish designing new flies to match the many waters that I enjoy fishing.
Colorful photos and illustrations are included on
every page in this book.

Snowshoeing the Winter Adventure
David & Cheryl Young
Price: $19.95
ISBN: 978-0-9824419-0-9
David and Cheryl are avid explorers of the outside world. They relish the outdoor lifestyle. Their Yorkie "Lexie" loves to observe wildlife on the many back country
roads traveled. Once we discovered snowshoeing we could enjoy trekking through
the wilds year round. In fact the snowshoe has opened up a winter wonderland
seldom travled. The great outdoors is at its best in the winter months that is peaceful
and mantled in a pure garment of white satin. We found that snowshoeing was
perhaps the easiest snow sport to learn and one of the most economical winter
sports to get into. It's also a low impact one that can be enjoyed with little risk of
injury. The world is padded by a soft manle of snow. Snowshoeing is a healthy aerobic workout with as much as 1,000 calories burnt in an hour. It is far more interesting than that winter treadmill of a workout. Finally it's a sport that is best shared
with your family and friends. Even the youngsters can enjoy it. The purpose of this
book is to serve as a guide so you can quickly become proficient at snowshoeing. It
is also designed to make it safe by preventing the wintertime hazards. Colorful photos
and illustrations are included on every page in this book.
