About the Author

Ernest Ochonma is a supply chain practitioner with over 24 years post MBA degree experience in various aspects of procurement, management, consulting and supply chain management across private and public sector organizations.

He is presently a management staff of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). His wide experience cuts across various subsectors including Manufacturing, Consultancy, Oil and Gas. He has held various managerial positions in various multinational and local organizations including Purchasing Coordinator (Nestle Nigeria Plc), Technical Procurement/Material Planning Manager; Assistant General Manager, Commercial (Vitamalt Plc), Procurement Manager, Logistics Manager (British American Tobacco  Nig. Ltd), and Senior Consultant (SEAI Consultants).

He has also worked as a part time lecturer in Corporate Strategy, Purchasing and Supply Management and Marketing Management in two Universities namely; University of Portharcourt and Federal University of Technology, Owerri (Lagos Study Centres). He has written several published Newspapers on various topical issues in Procurement and Materials Management.

He has a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) Degree in Biochemistry from University of Nigeria, Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Marketing Management from University of Lagos, Master of Science (M.Sc) Degree in Finance from Lagos State University and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Supply Chain Management from Rushmore University. He is also a member of various professional bodies including, Fellow, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management (CIPSM) Nigeria; Affiliate Member, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) London and Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). He has traveled widely across various continents of the world. He is married with children.
