The two things Owlie likes best are playing his violin and hanging out with his best friend, a huge oak tree named Oakie. Owlie is looking forward to a fun day because he is on his way to do both his favorite things. All the creatures of the forest are gathering under Oakie's branches to rehearse for the Summer Solstice Concert. What excitement. The bird choir, the musicians and most of all Owlie and his violin are sounding splendid. Just splendid.

Because David loves to play with his toy pond boats, Grammy calls her house Sick Bay. She says that on ships, sick bay is the part of the ship where sick people get well.
