About the Author
Donna Templeton arrived in Monte Vista, CO in 1964 and began teaching elementary school in 1967. She brings that special teacher’s understanding to her gentle storytelling. She retired from teaching in 2000 and says this was a difficult decision to make. She truly missed her daily interaction with the children. When she’s not writing children’s books, she volunteers her time, which she says is a vital part of life. A singer, she also directs the choir at the First Presbyterian church in Monte Vista. She lives with her husband, Tom, in Monte Vista, and says her family has always been supportive of her endeavors.
