ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Chris Shore teaches Algebra and Geometry at Temecula Valley High School in California. He is a recipient of the 2001 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. As a nationally recognized speaker, Chris conducts teacher training workshops such as “Cool Projects = Hot Results,” and “Ultimate Cosmic Power in an Itty Bitty Thinking Space.”

Chris is the editor and co-founder of The Math Projects Journal, a professional publication that provides teachers with lessons plans and materials for innovative mathematics activities. Teachers around the country are using Chris’ lessons, philosophy and techniques to help students achieve mathematical competency and to raise standardized test scores.
