Mel Sokotch’s advertising career spans over 30 years: eight years at Ted Bates, nine at Grey, and fourteen at Foote Cone & Belding. He started out as a media buyer and ended up an Executive Vice President, with responsibility for account management and business development.
Most important, Mel’s helped create advertising for the nation’s leading marketer’s, including Kraft, Colgate-Palmolive, M&M/Mars, Nabisco, Campbell Soup, Pfizer, Amgen, and Merck.
Mel’s written numerous articles on advertising and given talks at many industry functions. He’s lead research studies on “What Works/What Doesn’t in Healthcare Advertising” and “What Works/What Doesn’t in Comparative Advertising.” And the press often calls on Mel for opinions on the key advertising issues of the day. Mel is a lifelong resident of Manhattan with a weekend retreat in Weston, CT on the Aspetuck River.
